The Lawrence Berkeley Lab Historical Landmark Celebration Lectures were in about 1999?, when there was to be a recognition for the 14 element discoveries at the Berkeley Lab...which last I heard was held up after the #118 and #116 discovery retraction ( Victor Nunov was the 'foreigner' that made the mistake and his name is mroe recent UNVERIFIED discoveries what's up with that IUPAC? That made Berkeley look so bad and OUR scientists had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!.... in 1997 IUPAC had just retracted the name for #105 Hahnium AGAINST Glenn Seaborg (and others) wishes (and would've declined the naming of Seaborgium to keep Hahnium (beautifully in line with Lawrencium, Rutherfordium then Hahnium and then Seaborgium.(at #106) and I made a personal promise to Glenn a year before his passing htat I would always print Hahnium on my periodic tables (It was Otto Hahn's Cornell talk that Glenn read as an undergrad (under GN LEWIS!!!) that got him interested in RadioChemistry and the rest ! is history! (And Otto gave Lise Meitner his mother's wedding ring to assure safe passage out of Germany so that BS that "He stole the Nobel Prize from Lise" or Never did give her credit is crap! Neils Bohr or Rutherford tried twice to ge the Nobel committe to give her the prize in Physics (and rightly so!) so Otto Hahn had no ill feelings toward her (and for htat matter a young woman proposed fission and Lise dismissed and it then got credit for it seven years later!!!!
